Photos taken by me. |
My ever-gorgeous god-sister, Jazz, was my lovely and willing photography subject for this shoot. Big thanks to her for sitting down in the wet grass and jumping around several times for the sake of a photo. She's wearing a vintage wool hat and a sixties mini dress (I just love the lace on it) both sourced from charity shops. She's also wearing the same seventies boots that I wore in my last post, this time they're paired with thick knee socks to make them fit her better. The photos were taken yesterday after some brief but heavy rain (which started just as we were about to go outside and take photos - typical weather.) We had to wait it out by eating copious amounts of sugar before we could try again - I can think of worse ways to spend a grey day. Jazz is always such lovely company and a beautiful subject, she has twirled in front the lens in an eighties Alice-esque dress
here, dressed up in lace-up boots and purple hair
here, donned summery silks
here, danced around in red shoes
here, and sat with me at a whimsical tea party set-up
here.

Lovely photos - gorgeous moody sky, gorgeous grassy fields, gorgeous god sister and gorgeous dress! What a find that was!
I totally thought you were seventeen for some reason! You are all the more impressive a young lady for being thirteen x
Great hat and detail on the dress!

Love the dress and your shots of your god-sis. especially the 1st one. Xxxx
Gosh Jazz looks lovely in these wonderful dreamy photos, and that sixties mini dress is a real find! I love the lace detailing, so unusual and that close up shows it as a true work of art.
You always leave the nicest comments on my blog! Thank you so much! As always your photos are fantastic. I am in love with that dress, how do you find all these great things in charity shops?!

That's an absolute jewel of a dress - what a spectacular find - and it is modelled beautifully by your gorgeous god-sister Jazz.
The photos exude the fun you two obviously had running around in the long (wet) grass. It's great having frequent photography collaborators isn't it? It becomes such an enjoyable process of shared image-making.
You and your sister and so lovely!
Your photos are so connected with nature and with your subject. Great skills!
I'm a mother of two girls; for me its such a joy to read this post.
